Our Mission

Landyachtz builds bicycles that can transform mundane trips into high quality recreation and convert a chore into a highlight of your day. Our mission is to get people to experience this transformation.

Our History

Landyachtz was started in the basement of the Blackcomb Ski Club cabin by two friends, Michael Perreten and Thomas Edstrand. Their mission was to make skateboards that would turn better and ride faster. Twenty years later, Landyachtz has over 60 employees, with spaces in East Vancouver and LA county, a manufacturing facility in Kimberly BC, and our recently opened flagship store in the Strathcona neighbourhood of Vancouver.

Landyachtz is a leader in a global community that pushes the boundaries of what is possible on a skateboard. Our desire to evolve the sport of skateboarding has led us to other exciting forms of transportation. Bicycles help us travel further, experience new terrain, and broaden our ability to discover. We believe that self-propelled transportation is not only good for ourselves, but good for the world. It requires no fuel and releases no pollutants into the air. The only by-products are a healthier life and a happier day.

We're looking to make history again by building bikes that will change the way we explore the city.

Our Stories

Juan Diaz has been riding a skateboard to work for over a year, but like many of us here at Landyachtz, has recently caught the bike bug. He wanted something that would give him the same excitement of pushing to work, but a whole lot faster.

When Paul Brodie, of Brodie Cycles, came to Landyachtz to teach us how to design and build frames, Team Rider Kyle Wien discovered a new passion. A craft, sparked by his love of bikes, that has turned into an exciting career.
